Changes

I started working out again and Ava Grace was doing wonderful in the child center.  There have been a couple of times where I get called out of class to change a "stinky" diaper, and Ava has done great with me changing her and then going back to playing.  Recently, I have picked her up from the child center and they tell me that she kinda pushes other kids and if she dosen't like someone in her face she will push their face away.  All this to say that I have started to see a change in Ava Grace also.  She is very pouty and she now sticks out her bottom lip when she dosen't get her way.  So I think I will lay low on the working out for a little while until I can curtail this pouting and pushing episodes.

So, if I can't work out, then why not eat....muffins?

This morning, instead of working out, Ava and I made Blueberry and Chocolate Chip muffins and we loved it.  Ava did a great job, she definately is a type A personality and likes order (so unlike me, so like Tom).

So if I happen to gain some more pounds, I can say, it was for a worthy cause...

yes I make muffins from a box, remember, I'm not great in the kitchen!

Great pictures! She's such a doll.

Natalia has a similar reaction to kids getting in her face/not doing what she wants. It's getting much better and I think will lessen even more as her language continues to improve but it frustrates me to see what I truly think is a remnant of baby-home life. I'm grateful that she's a survivor and developed the skills to take care of herself but it makes me sad to think she ever had to.

I started back to gym again in January and Grace has been doing pretty good. One day I did hear she was pushing kids away who got too close to her! The caregiver told me she pushed every kid in there! (that woman is prone to exaggeration). But she isn't crying and that is a very good thing. Too funny that Ava is doing the same thing!

Hmmm . . . I'm sensing a pattern with the girls from Russia . . . Ours is older, and doesn't push, but definitely lets those around her know who's the boss:)

Great quality time baking!!
