2 Years Home

In the midst of all of our sorrow, there have been rays of sunshine also.  Ava Grace has been home for 2 years now.  I took her to get pictures done.  The dolls are from St. Petersburg, the black and orange ribbon is from Moscow, colors to celebrate their Independence Day and the Red Rose was from Austins best friends...I wanted a little bit of Austin mixed in to let Ava remember him by.

Our life is on a different path now, not one I would have chosen, but then God didn't ask me, and He is the one in charge.  We have been going to counseling and are working our way out of the fog our minds have been in.  Prayers are still welcomed and needed if you happen to think of us.

I think of you ALL the time. I almost just emailed you about 30 minutes ago to see how you were doing and got sidetracked with lunch.

Ava looks beautiful!!! Such a pretty girl! I love that you incorporated such meaningful items into the pictures.

I'll continue to pray for you all.

I think of you and pray for you everyday! Ava looks so grown up! Such a preschooler now. Sof has lost that "baby" look too! Glad to hear you are seeking counseling. I worry about your other boys all the time. Hope they are coping as well as possible.

Ava is so pretty. I've been a follower of your blog for a while now. I discovered a few months ago that Ava and my son are from the same baby home. I saw your pictures and I recognized the home. Our first year anniversary is July 14. I will pray for your family.

Sally, Ava is just adorable (as always) - I can't believe how grown up she looks. I love that you incorporated all of those items into the photos. One of my good friends lost her son and they always make sure to include something that reminds them of him in their photos. I think of you often and hope that you are making it through each day.

Yep, me too..still praying for you all. You are so right...God doesn't ask us, does He...and even through our pain it is comforting to remember that He is ultimately in control of the very short time we are on this earth. One of my very favorite scriptures...

Isaiah 40:26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

This brought me so much comfort when my Mom passed away over 10 years ago at a young age and I hope you can find comfort in it as well. None are forgotten. My heart aches for you.

Ava is absolutely beautiful and I love how you included all of the things that have so much special meaning.

Hugs Sally. Kristine

Wow she is beautiful. I am so glad to see a successful russian adoption, because it seems like russia is known for having a lot of problems like FAS/FAE or RAD, etc. But she fits into your family beautifully, and its really sweet to read about success stories. Hope you all are well, xoxox
