Christmas

How do you take a Christmas family photo when God has called one of your children home...

how do you go on?  I can tell you that thru Christ alone are we able to go on.  He is our rock and fortress to Him will we run.  Do I want to curl up under a rock and not "deal" with life, absolutely, but that is not what God has called me to do.  My life looks different this year then last year, our family photo looks different this year.  All I can say is God is good all the time, and I do believe that His purpose is mightier and bigger then mine.

Christmas 2011

Christmas morning 2012
Trevor, Andrew, Ava and Tyler
We rejoice in the beauty that God sent His son, as a baby, perfect and sinless that one day we WILL be reuited with Austin in heaven.  Do you know Jesus as your personal savior?  I do, and so did Austin....

that is the only way to get to Heaven.  Know that Jesus died on the cross for you, for me.  His perfect blood shed for us to be cleaned whiter than snow.  You cannot be "good enough" for God, you have to accept the free gift that God gives to all people, you just have to accept that gift.

Sally,

You are all doing so well in the circumstances. Hang in there and be strong! I am so impressed you did the holiday card! We couldn't do it for a few years after our oldest passed. I think three years later we could do it again. We too still put up his stocking 6 years later and always will. Please stay strong and just try to get through each day and put one foot in front of the other.

All the best,

Sarah

hello,
i can't imagine what it would be like to loose a child but you are so strong for not falling apart. ava is gorgeous and she looks really healthy and happy, and that is encouraging to see because i see from a lot of russian adoption blogs a lot of the kids have mental/behavioral or attachment issues. i hope you and your family had a wonderful christmas, god bless!

Sally, I am not sure how I have missed the posts on Austin. My blogging check in has been sporadic at best. I just want you to know that I am so so so sorry. I cannot imagine what your family has felt these past months. I will not even begin to sympathize. I just wanted to say that I am sending up prayers for you all.

Thinking of you
