We just arrived here in St. Petersburg under a dark cloud. For those of you who have not heard there has been a couple of awful cases against Americans adoption Russian children. The latest is this case which just happened on Friday as we were getting ready to board a plane to come to Russia. Read it here:

It really is heartbreaking for that child, and for all the children here that are awaiting their permanent home.
I really don't have the words to say so I will just ask for you to PRAY.

We're praying for you guys - keep us posted on what's going on in Russia - you are at an advantage because what you see is not being filtered. I pray our two governments are able to reach some sort of resolution quickly and those of us in the process of going to court and behind us will not be impacted.
Definitely praying for your process.
I just sent an email to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Russia and contacted the Russian Embassy. I encourage you and all your readers to contact them and tell them of your disapproval of what the mother did and ask them to please not close adoption to us. Here is the information:

Oh Sally,
I thought of you as soon as I heard this story. Oh my gosh, I pray this does not affect your court day. My heart just aches for this boy and for all the orphans that might not find a home after this.
Give us the details of your court date and time so we can pray for you.
