Christmas

How do you take a Christmas family photo when God has called one of your children home...

how do you go on?  I can tell you that thru Christ alone are we able to go on.  He is our rock and fortress to Him will we run.  Do I want to curl up under a rock and not "deal" with life, absolutely, but that is not what God has called me to do.  My life looks different this year then last year, our family photo looks different this year.  All I can say is God is good all the time, and I do believe that His purpose is mightier and bigger then mine.

Christmas morning 2012

We rejoice in the beauty that God sent His son, as a baby, perfect and sinless that one day we WILL be reuited with Austin in heaven.  Do you know Jesus as your personal savior?  I do, and so did Austin....

that is the only way to get to Heaven.  Know that Jesus died on the cross for you, for me.  His perfect blood shed for us to be cleaned whiter than snow.  You cannot be "good enough" for God, you have to accept the free gift that God gives to all people, you just have to accept that gift.

What we did for Thanksgiving and following week

Our Thanksgiving:

Consisted of Trevors football team going to state.  It was a much needed break in our traditional routine.  We traveled to University of Illinois and watched football in the bitter cold and very windy day.

Trevor played great

He tapes his wrists
one purple
one orange

It is a great thing he is doing, in rememberance of Austin he wears purple
in remeberance of a football player on a competing team he wears orange.
Johnny Weiger passed away in Novemeber, he was Trevors age and he had lukemia.
Our school supported Johnny in prayers and fundraising.
What great sportsmanship!

Final score of State 3A football

our celebration at the hotel

at the pep rally
Coach Don Beebe
what an amazing coach
proclaiming Jesus as His Savior all thru out his pro NFL days
and instilling that love into the boys.

the week after football ended
Trevor had a Showcase soccer Tourny in
Germantown, TN
what a crazy life we lead!

Trevor played great, especially after not touching the soccer ball since June.  Its amazing its like he never left the sport.
